Therya is published quarterly, including articles from original scientific investigations, in Spanish or English, on the knowledge of mammals. Manuscripts are peer-reviewed following a double-blind system that warrants top-quality standards. Therya is listed as an international-quality journal in the Excellence List at Secretaría de Ciencia, Humanidades, Tecnología e Innovación (SECIHTI) de México.

La revista Therya está enfocada a la publicación de artículos académicos relacionados con los mamíferos, publicándose cada 4 meses. El número perteneciente al mes de mayo está dedicado a la Dra. Livia León Paniagua, quien es una pionera de la investigación de los mamíferos en México, además de ser uno de los miembros fundadores de la Asociación Mexicana de Mastozoología A.C. (AMMAC).
