Vol. 17 No. 2 (2026)
The journal Therya is devoted to the publication of academic articles related to mammals and is issued every four months. The May issue is dedicated to Dr. Livia León Paniagua, a pioneer in mammalian research in Mexico and one of the founding members of the Asociación Mexicana de Mastozoología A.C. (AMMAC). This special issue in honor of Dr. León Paniagua includes 15 peer-reviewed articles addressing a wide range of topics, including ecology, taxonomy, biogeography, molecular biology, among others. The authors contributing to this issue are national and international researchers who have interacted with Dr. León Paniagua both academically and personally, and who kindly agreed to write articles recognizing and honoring her distinguished career. We hope that this special issue will serve as a modest tribute to her extensive contributions to the field of mammalogy.
